CN Tower:
Burj DubaiToronto, Ontario's CN Tower is no longer the world's tallest freestanding structure. The world record no longer belongs to Canada. The Burj Dubai, a 555 metre tall skyscraper, is currently two metres taller. Built by Samsung of South Korea, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, it is the most prestigious square kilometres in the world. CN TowerHousing 150 "liveable levels", it not only broke the CN Tower's 30-year record for height, but also set another for the number of floors humans can safely be on. Designed to exceed all four criteria set by the Chicago Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, it will be, when finished, without a shadow of a doubt, the largest shadow casting building on Earth.
